Dr. Mariano C. and Lina Lao visit the new GSC site
°Ç¸çºÚÁÏ (SU), through Dr. Betty Cernol McCann, SU president, welcomed Dr. Mariano C. and Lina Lao in the campus for the inauguration of the new SU-Lao Global Studies Center, on March 22, 2025, on the Fifth Floor of Portal East.

Dr. Lao and his wife, Lina, were joined by their long-time friends Mr. and Mrs. Leo and Lulli De Leon; Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Claire Tansoc; Mr. and Mrs. Naresh and Diana Mirani; Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Karen De Venecia; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold and Tillie McKenzie; and Mrs. Lynne Razon.
Their itinerary included a courtesy visit in the morning with McCann at the SU Boardroom together with Dr. Margaret Helen U. Alvarez, interim vice president for Academic Affairs and Research (VPAAR); Dr. Dave E. Marcial, SU-Lao GSC director; Glynnis Jean C. Casiño, Strategic Partnership and Enterprise Development officer-in-charge; and Asst. Prof. Jane Annette L. Belarmino.
It was followed by a visit to the Mariano and Lina Lao Activity Center. Finally, the inauguration of the new GSC site commenced in the afternoon.
