In Memoriam: Dr. Enrique A. Sobrepeña, Jr.
All of us, in °Ç¸çºÚÁÏ, will always remember the Excellent Christian Heart of Generosity in Dr. Enrique A. Sobrepeña. He dedicated his life in the insurance business which °Ç¸çºÚÁÏ recognized by conferring him the Outstanding Sillimanian Award (OSA) in the field of Business in 1973.

His loyalty to her alma mater is evidently seen through his dedicated effort to preserve the Tiempos’ legacy of excellence in Creative Writing and the Philippine Literary Arts through the establishment of the Rose Lamb Sobrepeña Writers Village, in Camp Look-Out, Valencia. A place very close to the heart of Dr. Sobrepeña, as the first kiss with Rose Lamb was sealed.
The Writers Village, as a gift, is an inspiration to °Ç¸çºÚÁÏ and to the young Filipino writers who have been blessed by Drs. Edilberto and Edith Tiempo Creative Writing Center and the °Ç¸çºÚÁÏ National Writers Workshop, the first in Asia.
Through this selfless act of generosity, °Ç¸çºÚÁÏ conferred him, The Order of Horace Brinsmade Silliman.
Dr. Enrique A. Sobrepeña, Jr., has touched the lives of many and was a blessing to his family and friends, in the same way he was to us in °Ç¸çºÚÁÏ.
We share with you this video tribute presented during the Memorial Service held at °Ç¸çºÚÁÏ Church, December 11, 2020.
