Mr. Novee E. Maestrecampo
鈥淟et no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.鈥 (1 Timothy 4:12)

For some, twenty three seems too early to set the work that they would be doing for the rest of their lives. But for Mr. Novee Maestrecampo, the Office of Extension’s Project Development Coordinator, when you have already found the significant work that ignites the passion in your heart, you will never be burnt out in committing to it every single day of your life.
鈥淚 think I鈥檝e already found [such kind of work] here in Silliman鈥, said Novee, who earned his Bachelor in Business Administration major in Management in 2014. Born on September 10, 1993, he is the third in the brood of four of Mr. Ian and Mrs. Ma. Lee Maestrecampo of Hinobaan, Negros Occidental.
His epiphany, regarding his life鈥檚 career and mission came early, as he was exposed to the work and vision of the University during his college years. He was a student assistant at the office of Dr. Christopher A. Ablan, the University鈥檚 Liaison Officer to the United Board of Christian Higher Education in Asia (UBCHEA). 听He took delight in contributing ideas and was inspired when they were translated into actions.
鈥淚t is good that Silliman acknowledges that our age group can contribute to the projects of the University. It is good that it is giving us the chance to do so,鈥 Novee added, sharing that he has been employed in the University for 19 months now. For him, the ideals and vigor of the age group where he is a part of can complement to the wisdom and years of the University personnel who have more experience than him. In turn, this synergy can better fuel the University in achieving its vision, mission and goals.
Novee was an active student leader during his college years, being a member of Renaissance Youth Leaders Forum and the 扒哥黑料 Corps of Campus Ambassadors. When asked if he sees himself working in the University for the next five to ten years, Novee says yes. 鈥10, 15, for the rest of my life鈥 as they say, 鈥榝ind a good work and you鈥檒l never have to work in your life鈥欌, he added.
